Fly tying on Wednesday Nov. 10 at Slackwater Brewing, 7:00 PM. The theme will be Fly swap flies. I will be demonstrating the Turks Tarantula (recipe will be in the comments). See you there.
Evening #2 of our fly Rod building course is in the books. Reel seats and grips are glued on, blanks are spined , some guide feet are ground and we’re ready to start wrapping.
Had a blast tonight at the fly tying. Shawn Robinson demonstrated a bruised leach and Darrel Winser demonstrated his green leach. Projected the fly onto the 55 tv with a camera,it was about 2 1/2 feet long and easy to see. Look forward to seeing everyone out next month. Thanks Slackwater Brewing!
I fished with Peter and his crew when my team, the Kingfishers, hosted Team Ireland for a day of practice on Leighton Lake at the North American Loch Style Championships last year. They are great guys, and they know how to fish!
We hope everyone is enjoying the start of the fishing season and staying safe out there. We are still not hosting any meetings or fly tying nights as a safety precaution for all of our members. We will be back up and running in the hopefully not so distant future and rest assured we will let everyone know when we do. Stay safe and keep those lines tight!
