One other thing the article should say about Harvie is that he has been a member of Lions Clubs International for 53 years. He is an amazing person and the Penticton Lions are very proud of him.
Every little bit helps support all the amazing things Lions around the world try to do.

Lions of Zone D9 Okanagan Falls, Oliver, Penticton and Rock Creek shipped 6,679 used eyeglasses to developing countries on one of the coldest days of this yea...r. On February 10 Lions Mike Livingstone PZC and Dave Shalanski PDG took 31 boxes of used eyeglasses to the Day and Ross Trucking company warehouse in Kelowna. The Lions of South Okanagan Rock Creek Area have a long history of support of the used eyeglass program. ----Kettle River Lions - 1 box 244 pairs---Oliver Lions Club 4 boxes -approximately 800 pairs---OK Falls Lions -10 boxes -1835 pairs---and Penticton Lions club--19 boxes -approximately 3,800 pairs ---total ---6,679 pair of used eyeglasses in this shipment. Lion PDG Dave Shalanski and Lion PZC Michael Livingstone present Melissa of Day and Ross a Certificate of Appreciation for their continual support of the Used eyeglass program in the South Okanagan and Rock Creek Lions clubs.
