I think this is amazing. I wish they would have contacted me as I would have loved to be a part of this. Next year I will be reaching out to them in hopes that I can put a crew together both on behalf of Float Penticton and on behalf of the PIB. Hello and good day Penticton Peoples, Today I will be opening up a portion of Float Penticton. It is with the decision of recent Covid-19 cases throughout the Okanagan that we will not be operating our shuttles or renting our party rafts and tubes. We believe that circulating unmarked tubes into a multiple Province wide demographic is not in the best interest of the public or our staff and management. At this time we will only be selling the convenience of compressed air and... unused flotation devices to purchase. We are encouraging people to bring their own flotations this year or to purchase unused ones and to take them home as this will be the best way to eliminate cross contamination. As Locals, most of you have your own Flotations and pumps anyways and I think that’s a great thing and so please stay safe out there and keep your distance from the crowds. We will be located at the big parking lot on riverside drive next to the river entrance this season. There is busier parts of the day than others. If you don’t want to be in the heavy crowds either start early betwee 10:00-11:30am or start later towards 3:30-4:00pm I wish they had scheduled start times and limitations to how many people can leave every half hour during these times but they don’t and so be safe and keep your distance everyone.

We were set to open up this weekend but will be postponing our opening due to high waters and a strong current. We are developing a plan now so that we will be able to open as soon as possible I hope everyone stays safe on the river and looks after one another!

Well, I’m super excited to say that we are working closer and closer to having our opening date announced. The local governments are happy with my plan of action as I am the only operator on the river that doesn’t use the same devices on multiple people throughout the days and so they believe my operation is the safest way to limit the amount of exposure from cross contamination of germs and viruses. Once we get a confirmed date I will post it up and begin taking bookings.... Thanks for your patience in us.
