Alerts for: Okanagan Valley Watches 10:23 AM PDT Saturday 30 May 2020... Severe thunderstorm watch in effect for: Central Okanagan - including Kelowna North Okanagan - including Vernon South Okanagan - including Penticton Conditions are favourable for the development of severe thunderstorms that may be capable of producing strong wind gusts, large hail and heavy rain. Strong thunderstorms will develop over Fraser Canyon, South Thompson, Nicola and Similkameen this afternoon. Heavy downpours and very strong wind gusts are possible with these thunderstorms. Strong thunderstorms will develop over Okanagan, Shuswap, Boundary region, West Kootenay, Arrow Slocan, Kootenay Lake and East Kootenay this evening with possible heavy downpours, very strong wind gusts and large hail. Fast-moving water across a road can sweep a vehicle away. Large hail can damage property and cause injury. Strong wind gusts can toss loose objects, damage weak buildings, break branches off trees and overturn large vehicles. Intense lightning is likely with any thunderstorm that develops. Heavy downpours are likely to cause flash floods and water pooling on roads. Severe thunderstorm watches are issued when atmospheric conditions are favourable for the development of thunderstorms that could produce one or more of the following: large hail, damaging winds, torrential rainfall. HELLO TO ALL !! - 2020 - Obviously odd times and hope everybody's family and friends are all safe and managing. That being said - Isolating with your immediate family on the water, if an option is pretty great. -- THE MARINA IS OPEN --... The Edgewater Marine center and gas bar is open for business for on call service at the moment. The shop will be open very soon and following social contact guidelines allowing only one patron in the shop at a time to pay for gas and supplies. Please follow their protocols at the gas bar. There are also a few slips available for rent for the season currently but they are going fast as always. 24, 22, 21 and 16 foot slips available at the moment. Edgewater Marine Center and Gas Bar still open throughout the fall Season - On Call Gas Services Available - Number is on the Pump at the Marina -

LAKE TEMPERATURE CURRENTLY BETWEEN 21-23! Let the good times roll. AND on that note a few reminders: - Please be responsible for your ships in the Marina! Which means tie them up to the docks and cleats with appropriate dock lines. Nylon ropes that are not made for water or mooring boats are not acceptable. Additional your bow line should be on a modern bungee mooring line or spring with line. Edgewater folks have these in stock I believe so if you need one. Get one!... - Pay attention to this please and check your mooring. The Edgewater Marine Center Folks and myself had to rescue and re-dock 8 boats last week when the rare strong Northern Wind hit the valley. No damage done but if you noticed your lines were adjusted and or added to. This is why! Any Questions at all please see or call the Edgewater HarbourMaster Chris or The Pentowna HarbourMaster (James - 7802398320) Additionally if the Marina is busy and you are exiting for the day just give the EdgeWater folks a wave and they will hold off boats entering the Marina for gas to let you exit as quickly as possible. Hope everybody is enjoying the Lake Time Thus far. - Lake Temperature around 20'C - Cheers to the Edgewater Marine Center who has the cheapest gas on the Lake still which is fabulous - Ice and Snacks available at the Gas Bar store... - Cheers to Lance our Local Peachland Boat Mechanic who has been helping folks out here and there with the tech stuff There is Two 20 foot boat slips available for rent this season still so if anybody knows anybody looking please have them PM or stop in at the Marina for a chat.

SLIP AVAILABILITY UPDATE - There are a few slips available for rent this season as a few more just became available. Please PM or call James 7802398320... Boats are starting to show up at the Marina and the Edgewater Marine Center is setting up shop and will be open soon. Weather Outlook for the week is looking good!

HAPPY FRIDAY FOLKS Quick Update: - Temporary Fencing will be up as soon as possible at the North End of the Marina... - There is annual maintenance occurring at the Marina right away. General Maintenance on boards, rails, rings, rollies, floaties and all that good stuff to keep us all in tip top floating happiness - The Edgwater Marine Center will be OPEN for GAS very soon as well as their new shop/store. We will post updates on that as things proceed. - New Signage will be occurring shortly also. Pentowna Marina Security Signage as well as Edgewater Marine Center Signage - The lake level is rising but appears to be a little slower than normal. Likely due to cautionary measures down South. NOTE: - There are currently a few slips avialable for rent this season but they have been going quickly so contact the Pentowna HarbourMaster if you are interested via PM o this page or via the www.pentownamarina.ca contact us page via the online form. Slip availability will also be posted down at the Marina Shortly.

HELLO PEACHLAND - QUICK 2019 UPDATE - We are very happy to announce and welcome our new Operators of the Pentowna Marina Gas Bar:... - THE EDGEWATER MARINE CENTER - (Managed and Operated by Chris Rollins and Chrissy Chernoff) The Edgewater Marine Center will be opening its doors as soon as possible to kick off the 2019 Boating and Marina Season. We will be releasing updates throughout the season so stay tuned for dates on the Gas Bar Opening and other Marina related issues. Cheers to all as the weather outlook is looking great and the lake is starting to rise!

We are almost on the other side of winter and the outlook for an amazing summer is great. Quick Heads Up: - Currently there are 7 slips available for rent this summer in the marina ranging from 21-24 feet.... - There are also two slips for sale. (A 22 foot and 24 foot) If you are interested in discussing either of these options please send a PM with your full name and a contact number where you can be reached. This work is scheduled from today onwards. Please be aware and respectful of workers and machinery in that area. Any questions or concerns about this please send a PM.... - Please remember to submit and drop of your Insurance document to Mason the Harbour Master or any of the Dockside staff at the Marina! ... and of course give them a high five. - Yes the Gas Station is Still Very Open and the water level is holding and it looks like it's full steam ahead for the summer. - Please remember to still motor slowly when close to shore as the lake is still high and unneeded wakes cause unneeded damage to our shores and public and private docks.
