The large gate meant to open for RVs and toys is an accordion style gate. The panels fold into themselves to allow for clearance. The centre of the gate is supported by screw piles hidden low in the ground. I’m proud of this ingenuity which enables to gate to be solid and less likely to lean. Sometimes things break, wear out, get old, or simply cease to be functional. Unfortunately, most of the time it’s the things you’d really rather not have to deal with. This entrance stairs and deck desperately needed to be replaced. We worked with the client to choose a cost effective and safe option. By taking extra care when disassembling, we were able to reuse the Regal railing and the existing rock siding that matches the rest of the house. Instead of replacing the Dura...-Deck building material they went with a sturdy, long-lasting and inexpensive option; pre-treated brown wood. Don’t you just love how the stain complements the rock?
