Perfect Curl

The stars teamed up to film a powerful PSA, "I'VE BEEN TOLD," released in tandem with Glamour's September cover story, which is features the stories of six Black women across the country and the stigmas they've faced related to their hair. At the beginning of the video, each actor recalls common microaggressions Black women are confronted with over their natural hairstyles I know for the longest time I straightened my hair for many years, because of the remarks at work or school when I wore it natural. Saying things like "it looks way better when it's straight" and "Your curls are nice but straight is way more professional and cute girl" It took alot of years and confidence to love myself with my natural hair. I love each and everyone of these women speaking out on there hair discrimination.
