At the same time I am raising my voice from the rooftops advocating for Eating Disorders; for the awareness, education, non judgemental stance, treatment that is fat phobia FREE, treatment that is accessible for ALL, more treatment options and for our government to take Eating Disorders more seriously. ... Covid has his hard on so many and eating disorders has quickly become a way of coping for so many. Sick Kids hospital saw a rush of children being treated and admitted for eating disorders over the past year. Athletes are battling eating disorders and body image struggles in silence for fear of what the truth might bring them, and people women and men are dying while waiting on waitlists for treatment that never move. Ontario, Canada, the world can do better; we must do better. A portion of all sales goes directly to eating disorder initiaves including: *Dontating Perfectly Imperfect knitted blankets to individuals entering treatment for their eating disorder. *Putting on the benefit concert Songs for Hope, which I founded in 2013 that is full of powerful music, stories from survivors, loved ones, professionals in the field, awareness, education and HOPE. *Soon: Seminars for athletes, coaches and parents on body image, body positivity and self love. Throughout my skating career, I have been the National Champion three times, as well as a two time Olympian, and Olympic Silver medalist as a part of Team Canada. Say HI to Bennet Toman Hi! My name is Bennet Toman. I am a National and International competitive Figure Skater for Canada. I am 23 years old and have a huge passion for the sport of Figure Skating. Aside from being primarily a skater, I am also a professional skating coach and choreographer. I started skating when I was 6 years old and I enjoy every moment I am out on the ice. I have faced some struggles of my own throughout my teenage years, but through perseverance, and... love for my sport, I overcame my demons and continue to fight them everyday.
