Perfectly Knotted

What is one technique you learned that has changed your knitting life?? For me it was learning about the princess sole! When trying to find a way to give this ribbed sock design a bit more of a unique twist, I came across this sole technique. I never really had issues with regular sock soles, but I am loving the feeling of having the knit side of the sole against my feet rather than the purl bumps! So smooth and comfy! Today is the day!! The #FadedPrincessSocks pattern is LIVE!! This pattern is a simple 2 x 2 ribbed sock with a two colour fade on the leg and a princess sole! Some testers modified and did a fade back to the first colour on the toe as well! (Swipe to see more tester pics) It is written for 5 sizes (XS, S, M, L, and XL) and uses fingering weight yarn in two colours! You need less than 20g of the first colour for the top portion,so this is a perfect pattern to use a mini ske...in! I love a good close up shot of knits especially hand dyed yarn. Seeing all the beautiful colour variation and the little tiny fuzzies is just so great! . This is a close up of my newest design. How many hats do you think I can get done between now and Saturday? . Here's a giant stack of my #EvergreenToque s from last year (thanks John ) and I'm hoping to get a similar amount done by the weekend! Luckily this pattern is super quick and easy, so it is a realistic goal! Only about 30 mins per hat! . I'm doing a craft tour alternative to the usual @owldesignerfair this year, and I'm trying to crank out some more stock! A whole bunch of local vendors are setting up in... their driveways/garages and there's a map of all the participating vendors on the Owl Designer Fair website! Who's here for mismatched stripey socks?! . @knit_picks sent me some of their new colours of self-striping Felici yarn to work up and I must say I love how they turned out!! I love stripey socks and these are great because there's no ends to weave in!!! . They've re-released a bunch of popular colourways from past collections, and all of them are available on fingering weight! AND some of the colourways are also available in worsted!!... . This is the Goth Kitty colourway! I love the bright pop of pink! It's also so fun how the two socks turned out so differently. Now I'm not normally one to make super colourful projects, but I've got something coming your way using these beautiful skeins of @knit_picks Biggo! I was gifted most of these skeins by my friends from KnitPicks, to check out some of the newer colours (which are BEAUTIFUL by the way!). That rich purple and forest green are my new favs!! . Notice a couple skeins have different labels? That is because I bought a whole whack of Biggo yarn a couple years ago, but at the time didn...'t knit any garments so I just had these random single skeins laying around and couldn't really use them for any of my sweater designs. . The #FletchingSweater is live!!! . I am so excited to release this design, it worked up EXACTLY how I was imagining it and I am so happy with the result! It's a super quick knit, in a simple silhouette, but has a few little details to make it unique! The colourwork at the bottom reminded me of arrow fletchings, hence the name, and I added a colour blocked cuff as well to tie the sleeves in to the body colourwork! It's got a cozy turtleneck, making it the perfect winter swe...ater! . This sweater uses bulky yarn, which makes it such a quick knit! I designed it using @knit_picks Biggo yarn, which is my go-to sweater yarn! It's really soft and cozy, comes in some amazing colours, and is really affordable! Daylight savings felt great yesterday morning after an extra hour of sleep, but it definitely ruined my photography plans for after work today, since it was already getting dark when I got home .
