Earlier this week I had the opportunity to meet with the Events Advisory Committee. The group was formed by Tourism Abbotsford and I am privileged to have been asked to join them. Last month I quietly celebrated 10 years since I publicly shared Perfect Sense Events and officially launched the biz. I found it a bit ironic that this month, I'm working on a fundraising campaign for my very first event client - LIFE Recovery Association. I've worked with the organization, on-and-off, over the last 10 years and they happened to pull me back in last Fall. The primary reason I was pulled back in = (and a little bit of good timing). One year ago today, we were busy bee's working with @abbotsforddivision to produce @agewellplanwell, a large event that would provide health and planning education to amazing #Abbotsford people in their golden years. Well, with covid hitting our community only 2 months prior to the June 2020 planned date, this did not work out well. I'm happy the Division managed to rework our website and create an online magazine providing a digital experience to support our aging community (ages 55+). A few weeks ago, we quietly shared that we've been working with a number of other event vendors to provide virtual memorial services support to our community. Today, I'm pleased to share that part of that service will include a dedicated virtual event website that can act as a landing page for your service with the event details (links), photos and an area for loved ones to share memories and condolences. The Fraser Valley Cultural Diversity Awards are only six weeks away. This is my seventh year working with the organizing groups and my first time producing it virtually.
