Working on some sounds for a door-dash/skip the dishes type company from Thailand this morning. It's fun writing audio for apps and being given creative freedoms. Also, robot voice :)
I always forget that I'm in the "Plugin Collective" through my Focusrite account, and have probably missed out on some great plugins. But this month I get a whole suite of stuff from an Italian company I've never heard of called Acustica. Their promo videos look good, let's see if they are useful...
"A banjo is about as good a torture test of a preamp as there is. The better your preamp, the less trouble you’ll have getting the sound. " I suppose that I won't have any trouble getting a "good" banjo sound then. Assuming one exists? After all, it is a banjo!
I discovered the chromelodeon this morning, 43 notes per octave. I tried really hard to find some music that wasn't just noise, but everything I found just reminds me as a kid of playing on Music Studio for my Commodore 64 and not knowing anything about music. https://www.youtube.com/watch
Recording lines for a children's audiobook today on my freshly repaired AKG headphones. The old ear cups were falling apart, these aftermarket ones are so shiny and comfy. I think the originals were too, 10 or 15 years ago!
