When I work with my clients, my main goal is to create authentic images that show who they are, because these images are going to help them connect with their audience. How do I do this? I work through the concept of Story Sessions. . #1, I help them identify some of their rituals, routines, and stories that are the core of their identity. . #2, we schedule a day that will include these rituals and routines. But still, it will look like their typical day.... . #3, During their photo session, they do their usual things, and I photograph it as we go. First, it helps to bring genuine emotions so much easier. Second, the photoshoot goes very very smoothly. . Why would people decide to grow a personal brand instead of just growing their business brand? The reason is that people will connect with another person more than they will ever connect with a brand. . Strategically having a personal brand could be very helpful for you in the future. Let's say today you are doing one thing. Then you decide that you want to do something else the next day. If you have people who know, like and trust you, they will come with you. If you've built your business around a business brand (hiding behind your logo and your products/services), that business is going to suffer because it can't pivot in the same way. Thanks to Jenna - @jennaherbut ! She inspired me to write this post because what she said in her recent video resonated with me. She talked about the lack of transparency among entrepreneurs. Nobody shows their challenges. We see social media images of fabulous people sitting by the beach with a laptop. Is it really the life of people growing their business? Sometimes it can be very challenging. Just nobody knows about it. . Recently I thought about it too from my photogra...phy point of view.
