Media Release: Perth East Operations - Enhanced Province Wide Shut down and Stay-at-Home-Order January 14, 2021 - The Province of Ontario has declared a secon...d state of emergency, and issued a stay-at-home order (effective January 14, 2021) in response to rising COVID-19 cases. Perth East continues to assess the situation and interpret the rules surrounding Ontario’s emergency declaration. The Township has already modified a number of operations and services in accordance with the previous order, and we are making further adjustments to respond to the enhanced lockdown measures. In general, Municipal Operations will continue with some adjustments to staff deployment to further protect staff and comply with the enhanced order. This will be a great opportunity to connect with rural youth and discuss issues youth are facing in our communities! These are the kinds of questions that are included in an online survey launched recently to help gather input for a Community Safety and Wellbeing Plan being developed for Stratford, St. Marys, North Perth, West Perth, Perth East and Perth South. The plan will focus on ways community members, government, local agencies and stakeholders can work together to sustain and improve the overall quality of life for residents in those communities.
