We received this beautiful note from our members Moses & Viviane Shriqui and wanted to share it with the community. A BIG THANK YOU! We would like to extend our warmest thanks and appreciation to our wonderful congregation that we are so fortunate to be a part of.... On the first night of Hannukah we were once again shown how meaningful it is to be a part of this amazing group of people who make up Petah Tikva. Our doorbell rang, and when we opened the door we saw a group of people, our friends and people we consider like family. Men, women, children at our doorway who welcomed Hannukah for us by singing songs and cheering us on for this wonderful Jewish holiday. They sang with such heartfelt emotion that we suddenly felt a knot in our throats so touched by this kind gesture and sweetness of this whole beautiful experience. The members of our community left us with their sweetness and in parting they gave us delicious hannukah cookies that we could share with our family. This experience as many experiences we share with the people we love was not only an incredible gesture of kindness, it also reminded us the importance and good fortune we share from being a part of this amazing congregation. Our annual Hilula of Rashbi, zyaa, took place last night and it was a moving and heartwarming evening. Despite the fact that we could not be there together at our beloved Petah Tikva, over 180 people logged onto Zoom to participate. We want to thank our incredible members and friends for their outstanding support and commitment during these uncertain times. It is truly remarkable. As well, we would like to thank the wonderful committee who worked very hard to bring this... event to life. We look forward to the time where we will all be reunited in our shul and to next year’s Hilula. And in the merit of all the Tzaddikim who we lit candles for last night, may all our tefillot be answered.
