Good morning all! In Lieu of Thanksgiving next weekend, the Moe Norman Lounge will be closed in order for our staff to spend time with their families. September is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month, a time to acknowledge the thousands of children and their families who are dealing with a cancer diagnosis, raise awareness about the reality of childhood cancer, and emphasize the importance of research. In support of this, we are holding a raffle (with BIG prizes) as well as a 50/50 until September 30. Every single cent will be donated to Leia’s Locks; a sweet 6 year old girl who is one of our own. Leia was diagnosed with biphe...notypic acute leukemia in February 2018 and is now on maintenance therapy until 2021. Leia wants to raise money for CHEO in order to support all the families just like hers that know the pain of childhood cancer and devastation of what it can do. This specific fundraiser is hosted by Hair Donation Ottawa (HDO) who raises funds for cutting-edge cancer research at CHEO to find less invasive treatment options for kids with cancer, empowers kids with hair loss by providing them with free wigs and supports green initiatives championed by Green Circle Salons.
