The Prime Minister announced an expansion to the eligibility criteria for the Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA) to include many owner-operated small businesses. Below are a few options that we have available to make it more convenient for you to provide us with your tax information, while at the same time, reducing the risk of spreading COVID-19... 1. DROP BOX We have a secure drop box located to the left of our main door. Please ensure your documents are clearly marked with your name and phone number. 2. WE CAN EMAIL DOCUMENTS FOR SIGNING We can send and receive documents through email, or Docusign. Please send your email to [email protected] We will let you know by email when we have received your documents. If you do not receive this message within 48 hours, please call the office at 780-817-2259. 3. UPLOAD YOUR DOCUMENTS ELECTRONICALLY You can upload documents to our secure portal. Please contact the office if you would like to use this option. 4. PAYMENT OPTIONS We will accept: -credit card payments over the phone -E-Transfer to [email protected] -cheques can be dropped off in an envelope and placed in the drop off box to the left of the front door As always, the health and well-being of our friends and families are our first priority. As you may already know, the Canada Revenue Agency will defer the filing due date for 2019 tax returns for individuals. The return filing due date will be deferred until June 1, 2020. We encourage individuals who expect to receive income tested benefits such as GST credit or the Canada Child Benefit to file their tax return as normal to avoid any delays in receiving these benefits. Also if you are expecting to receive a refund than why not get this as soon as possible.... Just a reminder that we at Ascend continue to be working and serving our clients using electronic communication, telephone calls and drop off stations set up at each office.
