It’s not too late to donate for the clothes and food drive with all donations going to YES and Habitat for Humanity. Message us by Monday with your address so a pick-up time can be organized!

Trent Rowing is organizing a clothing and food drive for YES in Peterborough. With cold weather coming, the shelter will be needing warm clothing and meals. Wha...t a better weekend to express gratitude for what we have by sharing with and caring for others? Consider a thanksgiving closet clean out, or checking your pantry for non-perishable food items you can share Simply DM us your address, and leave donations in a bag by your door. We will be doing pick-ups next week so please DM us by Monday October 19th to ensure your donations are picked up. Let us know if you or your team (if you are a making a team donation) want a shoutout Masks and gloves will be worn, everything touched will be sanitized, physical distancing measures will be taken if we do cross paths during pick-up. If the COVID 19 situation evolves and worsens, we may cancel the clothing and food drive. Let’s all stay tremendously safe this weekend so that doesn’t happen. Please be safe this weekend, and consider incorporating some giving into your celebrations!

Although we are saddened we are not on the Otonabee racing today, we are excited for what next year holds and would like to celebrate HOTT 49.5 by sharing a little bit of the HOTT history. Happy HOTT weekend everyone

Delta is having another Drive In Bingo next Saturday, September 19th.

Delta Bingo has a drive-in bingo this Saturday. Reservations needed. Proceeds help to support PRC.

THANK YOU TO DELTA BINGO AND GAMING CENTRE! The PRC has been involved in running bingos in Ptbo for over 40 years. It remains our biggest single fundraiser. Bingo enables us to buy equipment and offer programs to people of all ages in the community. The Delta Bingo and Gaming Centre is now operating on a limited basis and we look forward to when it is completely back up and running. Thank you Delta for your support of the PRC and helping people in the Peterborough community get and stay fit !!

Great fun at the Chester Kelly Classic today. 28 rowers, ages 14 to 80 competed in a sprint course today. All rowers had great times thanks to a tail wind and a kind current. Thanks to everyone who made a fun and safe day possible.... Photo credit Tracey Germa

Celebrating Canada’s Olympic history with Carol Love in stroke seat.

We would like to extend a special happy 80th birthday wish to Dave Lienert from the Peterborough Rowing Club! Dave is a great example of someone who has embrac...ed the ‘Sport for Life’ philosophy. He started his journey in rowing at age 15 at the St. Catharines Rowing Club while attending St. Catharines Collegiate and has been in a boat ever since. He won his first Henley gold medal in 1958 and is still actively rowing at the PRC, competing at both Henley and the Row Ontario Masters Championships just last year . On Saturday, the PRC hosted a small event honouring Dave’s commitment to rowing. A new boat at the club was christened ‘Lienert’s Lead’ and a few side by side 250m race were held, which Dave won! . Happy birthday Dave! Your commitment to rowing is in inspiration to everyone in the Ontario rowing community! #RowOn @peterboroughrowing

We have been rowing for a while now but our fundraising partner Delta Bingo just opened up today at 10 am. Welcome back! Tap n Play will be open Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday 10am to 12:30 am and Thursday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday 10 am to 2 am.

The new docks are beautiful! Many thanks to Brian Love and John Nelson for all the work.
