Glorious is the second of two videos our virtual choir worked on for the 2020-21 season! These kids worked so hard on not only the vocals but on learning the signing for this song! We are so proud of all the work these kids put into our new virtual format! Thank you to our sponsors for all your support this season! We look forward to bringing you more music in 2021!

Oh how true........
Our choristers have been practicing extremely hard in these past 6 weeks. We are in the home stretch of putting out our first virtual piece for everyone! Stay tuned to see what these amazing choristers have put together!
In The Spirit had a Zoom meeting this evening to discuss what we can do to keep singing as a Choir. We have decided to look ahead, and are going to put together... a Virtual Christmas Concert. There is new technology coming out, hopefully within the next few weeks, that will allow us to sing together, and hear each other (see the link below). How exciting is that! This also means that anyone can join us, from anywhere! No worries about travelling on icy roads or being stuck due to snow. If you would like to join us for this Christmas concert, please let us know. We would love to have you join us, and there is no cost to you at all... other than giving up 2 Wednesday evenings a month 7 - 8:30pm. It's going to be fun, exciting and soooooo good to sing again! https://www.sfcv.org//ragazzi-boys-chorus-leaps-into-the-f

Pcc got to work with this talented group many times throughout the years. This is truly a sad day for acapella music. We will miss your beautiful music Cadence. Here are some of the camp photos with Cadence from 2010.
Check your email PCC folks! Uniform and Music Collection date has been set for July 14 from 6-8pm at the Scout Building parking lot. Please read the email for details and rules to follow while returning items!

Today is world singing day! Get out there and sing your heart out today!
Barb Monahan was a super talented singer and composer. In 2011 Barb wrote "Be the Change" for Pedal For Hope and it was sung by the Peterborough Children's Chor...us. In October 2019 Barb passed away from cancer. We miss her and will forever be grateful for the beautiful song she wrote for us. See more
Any singers out there want to learn more about opera?
If a choir is only about singing and performing - there will be no choir for a while. If choir is about teaching and learning, growing, connecting, community, cultural exploration and transmission, and innovating - we will find a way to have choir.
Any of our choristers who want to get involved in the community? Please apply.
A lot of PCC Alumni singing here.
After careful consideration by the Board of Director's, The Peterborough Children's Chorus would like you to know that we are following suit to the Ontario Schools being closed until April 5th. We will be cancelling rehearsals for the Tuesday, March 24 and March 31. We will have to also pull out of our Kiwanis appearances. We are really sorry about the disappointments around this. We are continuing to monitor the ongoing COVID-19 (Coronavirus) as it hits new status this ...week. We understand and appreciate that many continue to feel some anxiety about this illness. The Public Health continues to assure Ontarians that the risk of becoming ill from COVID-19 remains low in Ontario but we want you to know that we will respond appropriately when given directives from local health units. The Health Unit is reminding everyone that we need to take the same precautions to support our health, which are recommended every year for cold and influenza seasons. Because we all have children, this is very pertinent information to our organization. These recommendations include: -Hand hygiene-please be vigilant in regular, thorough hand washing -Cough into your sleeve or arm. If you are coughing excessively, please refrain from attending rehearsals at this time. -Refrain from touching your face -You must be fever-free for 24 hours before coming back to rehearsal -Stay home if you are ill-we love your kids but not their germs! Travel: Our Tour of Schools will continue as planned since we are taking our directives from the schools at this point in time. We will keep you updated if there is any change to that Tuesday, April 21st. We are not cancelling our trip to Toronto at this point in time, but we will make a decision within the next three weeks, depending on recommendations from health units, and the climate around COVID-19. We recognize that travelling at this time brings heightened anxiety and risk and this trip is optional in our programming. Our Spring Concert will continue as planned, unless the Health Unit tells us otherwise. Please feel free to contact us if you have any concerns or questions. We wish you all a wonderful, safe and relaxing March Break! We will send out a newsletter on Monday, March 23 with any updates of choir activities or directives from Public Health Officials. Until then, enjoy your time!
As all musicians know...you never let friends clap on beats 1 and 3
