Good Morning PTBO Tool Library Members! We have noticed quite a few people reserving tools for more than one time-slot and while we are glad to see you so enthusiastic about borrowing tools, we thought it might be helpful to show you how to add more tools to an existing reservation. That way you can get all your tools in one time-slot and leave the additional time-slots open for other members. Hope this helps!!

Some reality shows would have you believe that organising your workspace is a one-and-done activity. Your tools are in a shambles and then in a burst of inspiration you (or some other strong-willed person) swoop in and re-organise the whole mess from top to bottom! Now it's sorted - a place for everything and everything in it's place. Your tools will never be messy again!! In reality (note the irony), keeping things organised and tidy is an ongoing maintenance job. You have t...he best intentions, but hey - life happens! You hastily put one or two things in the wrong place and before you know it things have snowballed out of control again. Don't be hard on yourself - it really does happen to everyone. Even us here at the tool library. Luckily we have a hard-working team who takes care of the ongoing task of keeping things organised, including the occasional overhaul. So go ahead, let us be your garage!! We promise to keep everything where it can be found when you need it. So you can free up your time for other things. Like organising that secret junk drawer.......

There have been a ton of new members signing up at the tool library over the last few weeks and we just want to say welcome to the family! We're so happy to have you It's also a good time to say thanks for your patience as we navigate through all the changing safety measures during these weird times. Everyone has been great about making reservations, wearing masks and physical distancing. We are proud to be part of such a great community!

Volunteers don't get paid - not because they are worthless, but because they are priceless! As we wrap up National Volunteer Week we recognise the immeasurable contribution that PTBO Tool Library volunteers make to this communuty organisation. Thank you so much - we appreciate you!!

We'll be opening up this Saturday, folks! Thanks for your patience through the stay-at-home order....let's stay vigilant and hopefully we won't have to go through another lockdown. We missed ya!

Resident tool wizard Ken disassembles this donated Delta mitre saw and gives it a good cleaning before adding it to our inventory. Chop saws are a high-demand item at the library and it will be great to have an extra!

The library is open - come on in!!! (But wear a mask, please ) In line with Stage 3 re-opening we have decided to allow members inside again, with appropriate precautions in place, of course. Don't forget to bring a face covering!!
