The attached link leads to an article from today's Toronto Globe & Mail. It is a long but extremely interesting read on the state of the global real estate market.
Thank you to all who attended. We had a great Coffee Talk with excellent talking points and discussion. See you again on the 22nd.
Have a wonderful day!

Now this was unexpected! And a very nice Monday morning surprise. It is hard to believe that I have been a member of the Buffini & Company professional coaching program for ten years.
The Q3 2018 Royal LePage House Price Survey and Market Forecast Survey was released to the media on Tuesday morning. https://www.royallepage.ca//canadian-home-buyers-continue/ Key highlights from the national release include:... The price of a home in Canada increased 2.2 % year-over-year to $625,499 in the third quarter of 2018 and is forecasted to make a 1.5% price gain in the fourth quarter Year-over-year home prices made modest gains in many regions across Canada in the third quarter of 2018, largely influenced by price appreciation in Greater Vancouver. During the same period, property in the Greater Toronto Area experienced continued year-over-year price declines, with modest gains in value when compared to the previous quarter. The United States-Mexico-Canada Agreement (USMCA) is expected to increase demand as many Canadians regain confidence in job market and consider large purchases Greater Montreal Area witnesses highest year-over-year appreciation rate among Canada's three largest metropolitan areas, posting a healthy 5.4% price increase in the third quarter Greater Toronto Area (GTA) recovers from housing correction on a quarter-over-quarter basis while nearly all suburban regions studied post year-over-year price declines.
Happy Father's Day!

According to the CREA, home sales fell across Canada to reach their lowest level in 3 years - down 14.5% between December 2017 and January 2018. http://bit.ly/2Ett9Nh
It will be so nice once these standards are fully understood by Realtors and the public.

Toronto Real Estate Board in the news.... There are not enough houses to go around in Canada’s largest city, the latest statistics from the Toronto Real Estate Board seem to indicate. The new year kicked off with as much demand as 2016 as 5,188 transactions were reported through the Multiple Listing Service in January, according to a report out Friday. That was an 11.8 per increase compared to a year ago with annual rates of sales growth higher for condominium apartments than... for low-rise homes. New listings just couldn’t keep up. There were 5,188 new listings across the Greater Toronto Area in January, compared to 8,906 a year ago. That supply imbalance drove the average price of a home sold last month, across all categories, to $770,745, a 22.3 per cent increase from the $630,193 a year ago.
Hi, Jingle Plum-Pants here. It's that time of the year again so I wanted to send you all the official "ELF Names" list while you are celebrating the wonderful Holiday Season. Merry Christmas! Jingle.
Call me for more details on the inclusions and features of this fine home.
A collage of memories and images in honour of Remembrance Day. Lest We Forget - The collage includes memorabilia of our family from WWII. Leslie's father, our uncles, my father, my father's prisoner of war log, my mother's censored letters to my father and other memorable images collected over the years.
After 14 years in their beautiful home in Sawmill Valley it's time to move on. Their future home is on the Niagara Escarpment.with the Bruce Trail traversing their yard. Fortunately our friendship with this couple will survive the move.
John & Bonni have some exciting news to share. After 15 YEARS of looking we finally found our dream home. It is in Grimsby. After a bidding war we got it. We will own an entire stretch of the Niagara Escarpment from bottom to top. The Bruce Trail runs through the backyard. You can see the complete Toronto skyline from about a third of the way up the escarpment. Walking distance to the wineries. The house has bags of charm and is perfect for 2 people. Needs updating but we will move in and figure out how to make it work before making any changes. We are now trying to deal with selling our existing house. More on that later. Footnote from Peter: and yes, I have been representing them in their home search for the past 15 years. As they say patience grasshopper.
A spectacular home The essence of Taliesin West.
Happy Hallowe'en to all of the little trick-or-treaters. Have a safe and fun-filled evening.

Our Cool Dude needs to earn his keep. Here's Bayley at work with Lauren at Nestle Purina and then at my office getting some much needed R&R. It's a tough job but somebody has to do it!
Take a look at this cool dude! After 2 hours at the groomers and...he's twelve years old and still a handsome puppy.

For almost 12 years we have had a high tech security system in our home. Here's a photo of our system. The beauty of this system is that it never fails.
On June 6, 1944, the Allies invade Western Europe in the largest amphibious attack in history. During World War II (1939-1945), the Battle of Normandy, which lasted from June 1944 to August 1944, resulted in the Allied liberation of Western Europe from Nazi Germany’s control. This photo collage is in honour of the 73rd anniversary of D-Day. The photo includes memorabilia of members of our family from WWII. Leslie's father, our uncles, my father. My father's prisoner of war log. My mother's censored letters to my father in prison camp and more.
A lovely family home is now For Sale in Milton.
