A challenging tile job with satisfying results. Beautiful texture subway tile. Your first row is like your foundation...super key to level it...don’t assume your counter is straight...once you’ve got that row in...the tile goes on much easier!

Very simple yet effective privacy screen... allows for a friendly division of the front porch between these wonderful semi detached homes!

Gotta love what we do for our pets! ... Perhaps one of the more interesting projects I’ve worked on. I’ll let the pictures do the talking but in essence it’s a fully insulated outdoor cat litter box palace with access from an old style milk and egg drop off box :)

Redoing this particular side of the house pathway didn’t need to be over the top to be transformational for this family!

Expect the unexpected! Client wanted to join two closets to make a bigger space. When we removed the drywall we discovered lath and plaster also... we also fitted a beautiful piece of oak into the floor to fill the gaps created by the wall removal...A bit of patience and detail has turn the space into a study retreat!

Sometimes keeping it simple and safe is the best thing. These very narrow front steps and shaky railing convert into cedar stairs with black aluminum railings.

Going from a dark colour like red to a lighter colour like white or beige might seem like a daunting task, but using a tinted (your colour of choice) primer / sealer as a first coat and a tinted primer as a second coat from Benjamin Moore will allow you to get complete coverage. If you’re looking at a similar project visit Benjamin Moore at Main and Danforth and ask for Tosh. She’ll guide you through your paint projects.

The progression of pillar skirting... pack a bit of patience when mitring your corners. Your pillar may appear square but with age and shifting you’ll need to check your angles...the end result...

This super client had contracted a painter to stain their deck. Unfortunately the results were less then desirable so we transformed it with Benjamin Moore Oxford Brown porch and floor paint (minus bird poops) :)

Before and after shingles repair/tie-in to existing. If you decide to re-shingles your garage or shed yourself, don’t forget to remove the clear protective cello that allows the tar to seal down on top of shingle below ...too often it’s forgotten and shingles will lift in the wind and even tear off.

It’s critical before you stain your deck that you power wash it to remove any dirt or algae. The first picture shows the dramatic effects of power washing (left side before/right side after) Patience and not skipping steps are critical to success! The finished product!

Adding a gutter and downspout to your shed can prevent staining on your patio stones from dirty rain water or flooding on your grass from rain pouring over the side of your roof.
