Peter Thurley Communications and Consulting Services 25.11.2020

It's been a very long time since I have posted anything - you can thank my mental health for that. But along with a new decade comes a revival of a project I worked on during the 2000's: While in university, I had a blog that I called Dinner Table Don’ts. It was a conversation about all the topics you were told to keep away from the dinner table - philosophy, religion, politics and sex. I ran it until 2011, when I lost the bug and took it offline. Now it's 2020, and I'm bringing it back in the form of a (bi)weekly) Dinner Time Digest! If you want to check out the first Digest and sign up for future ones, check it out at http://pfthurley.substack.com

My latest column for The GrowthOp on the need for physician buy-in for medical cannabis patients.

My latest, in the Regina Leader-Post and online at The GrowthOp: "Cannabis patients, however, don’t want to be considered one part of the broader whole; a syste...m of their own increases both accessibility and affordability, and further legitimizes cannabis as a medical product. When the informal survey numbers are considered, it’s not surprising that some doctors seem uninterested in assuming greater responsibility for medical cannabis patients, citing inconclusive science and deeper scrutiny from provincial regulatory bodies. Anecdotally, there seems to be a growing number of people who are finding success with cannabis, and yet, establishment physicians seem to be lining up on the other side."

Looking forward to being in !!!Vancouver!!! next week for the Lift & Co. Cannabis Expo. I'll be joining James G. O'Hara and Canadians for Fair Access to Medical... Marijuana - CFAMM to speak with folks in the industry about the importance of supporting medical cannabis patients, even as the recreational market opens new global economic opportunities. If you'll be there and want to chat, send me a note! (also, I get to spend a little time with family! YAY!!!)
