Looks like a doodle, but Izzy is a Komondor x Bernese Mountain Dog cross! She behaves for grooming like an 80 lb. Bernese/angel. Owner is a beautiful soul too.

Good morning, Friends. Winter storms are descending. One daycare customer canceled, understandably, and the large dog booked for grooming might or might not get here from Valemount. It surely would be okay if they had to cancel, though I'm looking forward to the work. Yesterday was restful! I groomed the bunny in the morning and let the owner and her sweet young daughter stay. Yesterday’s ZOOM get-together with Susan, Shelly, Kim and I, with Linden and Gary, Laine and Adrien chiming in a little, made me feel so happy. Susan and her family are visiting friends in Northern California, but the online conference was easy. Makes the world seem smaller. Of all the photos that came up when I searched the desktop computer, here are just a few: Four decades ago, I rolled a cow over, then later gave birth to our Susan. Coincidence? Maybe. But the baby was full term, so if rolling a Holstein induced labour, I do recommend it. The story there was that I was asked to check on the family dairy cow belonging to friends of ours. Yesterday afternoon, Shelly visited and helped with another bunch of firewood, loaded into the basement. Such bounty! Such good company! I went into McBride to get mail, the epoxy for the kennels, and a few groceries. As always, Mica loved the ride. I stopped to take a photo of Beaver Mountain. I'm starting tomorrow’s post on Wednesday. Omg, Wednesday's lunch was delicious, if I may say. I made rice in chicken broth for Gary, and then a casserole for us both. It had enough broth to keep things from drying out, with leftover chopped chicken, artichoke hearts, onion and Italian herbs, topped with mozzarella cheese and baked for 30 minutes. I was enjoying a few easy days, then looked at my own appointment book. I will probably enjoy today’s work as well. A pet groomer in Valemount is sending big dogs to me, and that is fine. She and I spoke on the phone and I thanked her for the referrals, affirming that I'm set up for it and will keep doing the work as long as I'm able.
