Merry Christmas to our skating families!

Hello everyone. We just wanted to give a heads up that we are putting a hold on registrations until we hear Doug Ford’s plan for Ontario’s next steps on Monday. Fingers crossed that we’re still able to have our second half of the season. If necessary, we will reach out to the families who have already registered regarding refunds after his announcement. If we’re allowed to run our programs we definitely will be. Please watch this page for any and all updates.

Attention!!! Skaters! Our registration for the upcoming winter session is now live!! This season begins January 5 and runs until March 28! We have made slight changes to the schedules including 2 canskate sessions!! Go to pdsc.uplifterinc.com to register! Be sure to use the registration instructions under the news tab. Included in this registration families are asked to pay and sell PDSC tickets instead of volunteer hours! Thanks for your support and look forward to seeing you on the new year!

One week to go before our programs start! We got a sneak peek at the arena tonight to see how we can successfully move our skaters through the arena and some lucky skaters also got to get some laps on those skates. Huge thanks to Dave and the Town of Petrolia, Ontario arena staff for all their hard work getting things ready to go. Registration is still open if you haven't had a chance to complete that yet. Fall Skating At long last we have a skating schedule! We are also pleased to be able to offer CanSkate for Level 2 skaters and above - kids MUST be able to stand up and move on ice independently as we cannot provide assistance this year due to COVID and physical distancing guidelines. Our ice times are as follows: TUESDAY:... Power - 4:30-5:20 - 12 sessions (Oct 6 - Dec 22) CanSkate (Level 2 & up) - 5:30-6:20 - 12 sessions (Oct 6 - Dec 22) Open - 6:20-7:50 - 12 sessions (Oct 6 - Dec 22) THURSDAY: Power - 4:30-5:20 - 12 sessions (Oct 1 - Dec 17) Pre-StarSkate (Level 4 & up)/StarSkate- 5:30-6:20 -12 sessions (Oct 1 - Dec 17) Open - 6:20-7:50 - 12 sessions (Oct 1 - Dec 17) SUNDAY: Pre-StarSkate(Level 4 & up)/StarSkate - 10:10-11:00 - 12 sessions (Oct 4 - Dec 20) Open - 11:00-12:00 - 12 sessions (Oct 4 - Dec 20) Please watch this page and our website for registration links coming soon. Coming soon Registration will be opening for the first part of our skating season from Oct 1- Dec 31. This year it will be online registration so watch here for links once the system is live (hopefully the first week of Sept). Due to capacity restrictions and Covid health guidance, we are currently unable to safely run our Canskate program. This will be reassessed as conditions change and we regret any disappointment this may cause. Our schedule is still subject to change as the arena completes their reopening plans, but we currently anticipate being able to offer Powerskate on Tues and Thurs, Open sessions on Tues and Thurs, and Pre-Star/StarSkate on Sun. Times will hopefully be confirmed for publication soon. We thank you for your patience as we safely develop programs to get our skaters back on the ice.
