Meet John (left) and Yoko (right); This adorable Pomeranian duo is looking to find their furever home. Other than their definite cuteness, we do not know ve...ry much about John and Yoko. They were found wandering together as strays. We estimate that they are about 4 years old. When they first arrived at the shelter, John and Yoko had periodontal disease that required extensive dental procedures to treat. In addition to this, their toes were so overgrown that the nails were cutting into their pads. Now that they are all fixed up and feeling 100%, John and Yoko are ready to be adopted into a loving home. They love their human friends but would likely be too much for very young children. They like to chase cats but could potentially live with the right confident cat who won’t tolerate being bossed around. John and Yoko are very bonded, and we would like to see the two of them adopted together. They do both have minor luxating patellas. This means their knee caps occasionally pop out of place. They do not require any treatment at this time but their new owners will have to be willing to monitor them in case there is any discomfort down the road. For the past twelve years, hundreds of animal lovers have come together to fundraise and show their support for LAPS at our signature gala. Because of this gene...rous support, we have made dreams come true for thousands of animals in our community. As we navigate uncharted territory in our current global pandemic, our first priority is to protect the health and safety of our staff, volunteers, and, supporters. We are committed to doing our part to flatten the curve by going VIRTUAL. Even though we may not be able to come together this year in person for our signature gala, we need your support more than ever. To continue to make dreams come true for animals in our community, we have been working hard to create a fun, interactive and exciting new event for everyone to enjoy. It is going to be the best Gala you never attended!!! On Friday, June 12th at 7 pm, we invite you to join us on our LAPS Facebook Live. We will be revealing the details of this new event and explain the many different ways you can be involved. With your support, we can make more dreams come true in 2020 and the years to come.
