Here's a beautiful little feline that has had more than her fair share of misery in her life. She is currently #available_for_adoption through Wilson's Animal Hospital. Mama is #FIV+ which means that she will have to be an indoor-only kitty for the rest of her life and should either be an only kitty or share a home with other FIV+ felines. From my personal experience - I had two who lived very full lives for 8 years post diagnosis (they were already 10+ years old at diagnosis) - I can say that, with care and attention to her medical needs, she should live a full, happy, and healthy life. I am hoping to get more information about her and will share that here.

#STILL_MISSING! #REWARD $200.00 for the safe return of Flopper. #LOST. #GreenhillDrive off #TownlineRoad #Thorold. Oct 22/23 overnight/early hours of the morning. This little feline is a male named Flopper with unique golden-brown eyes. He is 3, very big and has a spot of hair on his back that is clumped. He is very friendly and has never left his backyard, before. He will just drop to the ground for anyone to pet him. He is dearly missed by his human, #BrendaFluellon_Bator. Even though he looks very much like the Found cat in my post, below, that cat is a female. Please if you have seen Flopper or know of someone who may have picked Flopper up, call 289 696 7007. Please share. Let's see if we can find this soul and get him happily reunited with Brenda. Thank you.

So many genuine loving broken hearts through puppy scams. So many puppies whose lives were treated recklessly much to their detriment and ultimate death. Makes me very angry. Makes me very sad. Please #dontshopadopt #adoptdontshop https://www.niagarathisweek.com/.../10269988-st.../?

So many dogs have been injured or made very ill by toxic rawhide "treats" from China. Please, just say "No!" and resist the urge to buy these cute looking treats for your dogs at Christmas, or at any time of year. I never had any problems with my dogs and their treats, years ago. So, it just begs the question is fast and cheap from China a good thing or a bad thing? Christmas dog treats - ALERT. Just a little warning regarding the Christmas treats many stores are now stock...ing as presents for dogs. Many of these so called treats end up with the dog spending some time in a veterinary surgery over Christmas. The vast majority of these rawhide products and treats come from China. The chews are made from cattle or horse hides and their journey starts with the hides being soaked in toxic sodium sulphide to remove the animal hair and fat. More chemicals are used in splitting the hide into layers, which is then washed with hydrogen peroxide to give the white "pure" look and to remove any rancid smell. Lastly, pretty festive colours are added along with the glue to form cute shapes. On testing, many of these chews have shown traces of arsenic, mercury, chromium and formaldehyde. If that wasn't bad enough, they regularly cause intestinal blockages, poisoning from chemical residue, and choking. The chews go slippery when wet and are near impossible to get hold of to save a choking dog. Please, leave them in the shop! If some well-meaning person buys them for your dog put them safely away for later when you can toss them in the garbage bin! Please, be safe with your dogs this festive season!

The Feline Fun Fact for this week is all about vaccines. Even cats living totally indoors require regular vaccination as they may be exposed to diseases in many circumstances (such as travel or boarding, interaction with other cats, the addition of a new cat to the home, viruses carried on your clothing and, yes, even viruses and pests carried on the shoes or clothing of someone visiting your home). For more Information please visit ... catfriendly.com/vaccines which is the public education arm of the American Association of Feline Practitioners See more

#PrinceAlbert #Saskatchewan #SPCA #crueltyinvestigation. This is a heartbreaking event. There is cruelty born of hatred. There is cruelty born of stupidity. The root cause doesn't change the outcome for these kittens. But, I think this is a case of stupidity after viewing the surveillance video several times over the past few days. The people who dropped off these kittens were very careful in how they carried the containers and very carefully placed them on the ground. ... Had these people thought to cut air holes in the containers these kittens may have lived. It was only 4 hours between the time they were dropped off and the time they were found. My plea is for anyone of our followers who have friends/family in Prince Albert please share this post with them. Perhaps someone knows who is now minus 13 kittens. This is such a sad situation. These little souls had made it to 5-6 months of age. The Prince Albert SPCA hasn't commented on the body condition of the kittens other than they were deceased when they were found. Any information should be given to the Prince Albert SPCA 306-382-0002 or toll-free at 1-844-382-0002. See more
