UPDATE: Thanks to amazingly kind people who have offered to foster, two other amazing shelters, all have found a soft place to land and NONE WILL BE LEFT BEHIND...... THANK YOU SO MUCH! <3 If you have offered to foster but have yet to hear from us, we are so grateful and we plan to get back to you very soon. There are 22 3-5 month kittens with active ringworm lesions at risk of euthanasia at another shelter. The shelter does not want to euthanize them. Another Rescue is able to take 10 and to transport them all, but they do not want to look at 22 faces and leave 12 behind knowing their fate. We are trying to find ways we can help so no one is left behind. Fosters are needed in order to save them and we only have a few days left to find spots for them all. If you think you may be able to foster some, please email [email protected]. If you know of someone with a heated garage who may be willing to house them for what could be 2+ months, or if you know of anyone with unused warehouse or office space they may be willing to let us use (ideally in Maple Ridge), please let us know. All supplies and vet care will be provided. While ringworm is not life-threatening and is usually self-limiting (i.e. just requires time, diligent cleaning procedures, and patience in order to heal), it is highly contagious to other animals and humans.
