The story of a tree. Born around 1495 in the Nimpkish Valley this cedar had a great start growing slowly under the forest. At about 30 yrs old the top broke off... and one of the branches continued on to form a giant straight standing tree 4 ft at the but and probably 200 ft tall. It was then fell and used as a bridge stringer in Beaver Cove for 40 yrs carrying the wieght of countless log trucks. The bridge was replaced with steel and now this tree if looked after will side 2 houses in the same valley it was born for another 50 years. See more
