STORY POST This is a story about my grandson Benjamin's little brother Eli AKA The Hulk This is a story of a little boy who loves The Hulk, PJ Max, baking cookies and cakes with Grandma Pamela, driving Grandpa Dean fishing boat, riding in Grandpa Ben tracker, climbing tree with his big brother, playing in the snow with his baby sister and tormenting his cat, Sylvester . This is also a story of a little boy that loves his mommy Kali, his daddy Brogan, his big brother and his baby sister soooo very much. He loves life, like every 3 year old should! A happy, silly, curious, sensitive little boy! BUT...... This is also a story about a little boy that just yesterday was diagnosed with a brain tumor and rushed to BC Children's Hospital this morning. In times like these we all want to help and wonder what it is that we can do. We want to be supportive, offer love and let those in pain know that we are there for them with whatever they need. Often we need to give them space to deal with what they are going through and we as friends and family feel somewhat helpless and not sure what to do to help. Please help me in supporting the family and The Hulk with the unexpected costs of living away from home for days, weeks or even months, for travel to and from Prince George, for missed days of work, for vehicle and home expenses and for those little treats you want to give your baby just to see them smile. Help me support The Hulk and his family who deserve the world. Help me make this a story about a little boy and his family who felt the love and support of the community. We have all the faith in the universe that The Hulk is going to overcome this and will be home

Day 1 Of My 10 Day Series On How To Sneak Fruits and Veggies Into Your Family's Diet Start the day with a breakfast smoothie. All you have to do is throw some fruits, low-fat yogurt and ice in a blender. You may also want to add a scoop of protein powder in there for good measure. Just blend for a few seconds and you have the perfect breakfast ready to go. I like to sip mine in a thermal cup on the way to work. To make it even more appealing for your kids, use some frozen yogurt or a scoop of ice cream in the smoothie. They won’t believe that you are letting them have ice cream for breakfast

We all know by now that we should be eating at least five servings of fruits and vegetables each day. But knowing and doing are two different things, aren’t they? Sometimes it is just not easy to get them all in there. We are constantly tempted to fill up on convenience and junk food. If your family is anything like mine, they’d much rather fill up on a bag of chips or a bowl of rice or pasta instead of trying an apple or a plate of steamed broccoli. So we’ll have to get creative. Over the next 10 days I will be posting a few ideas on how to sneak some extra vegetables and fruits in your family’s diet.
