Torpy has been groomed again! Thank you to Mike and Jonathan for taking time out of their busy week to take care of the Torpy trails...Looks like there is some snow in the forecast this coming week. Hopefully we get enough at the club trails. Also, thank you to Northland Nissan for providing fuel for the groomer for the last few weeks. Ride safe this week and everyone continue doing the snow dance.
Congratulations to our Christmas Membership Give Away winners. Thank you for supporting your local snowmobile club. Huge thank you to our prize sponsors. #joinnow #supportyoursport #pgsc
Big thanks to Mike for going out on Sunday and Grooming the Torpy! Grooming will most likely continue this weekend as well so please watch out for the groomer if you are out at the Torpy. Keep up with the snow dance as we need more snow to fall so we can maintain the snowmobile club trails. Fingers crossed more snow to come soon with the colder temperatures.

So for 2021 the club is thinking about changing the logo! We are hoping you the club members could help us come up with something. Create something and send it to us. If we like your design it could be our new logo!! If you have ideas as well please feel free to share them!! Photo attached is the current logo, which is awesome but we figured it is time for an update!
A big thank you to Keith and Jonathan today for heading out and getting the Torpy it’s First groom of the season!!! If you are heading out into the back country this weekend please be safe and do not forget to check Avalanche Canada for updates! Looks like lots of fresh snow recently, but with the warming and cooling temperatures lately it does not hurt to be extra cautious out in the back Country! Also, we still have some Prince George snowmobile club Calendars available as well! Contact us to reserve yours!! Ride safe this weekend!
It’s here!!!! The first ever Prince George snowmobile club calendar is in!!!! Thank you everyone for their submissions. We wish we could have included everyone’s photos because they were all amazing and we have awesome riding areas in our region! We can’t thank our amazing sponsor enough as well. (Rick Mayhew and Lee Foulds) Without them we wouldn’t have been able to put out a calendar this year. Calendars are $15 each and are available while supplies last. Accepting etransf...ers right now at [email protected] or cash. Message us before you send money with how many you want. Pick up can be arranged! If this is a success we will do one another next year!!! Without being able to hold any events this year, we are coming up with some new ideas that everyone can still enjoy to help cover the costs the club has! Thank you everyone who has supported us this year with memberships and to those that would like to support us with purchasing calendars! It helps your local snowmobile club immensely and we look forward to getting some new things out there!!

Beginning of a new snowmobiling season!!! I know we're excited and I hope all of you are! I would like to congratulate 3 new board members for this upcoming season joining the reelected directors. Kyle Wilson has created a new position and taken role of Torpy Mountain Director. Dom Sia who is now in charge of our Marketing and Mike who is the new grooming director. We have some exciting news and updates coming your way soon as well. Also, if you have not purchased your membership this year please do! For Earth Day, Marty and I did our, now tradition, garbage cleanup at some local snowmobiler parking areas. It was little early at km 24 in the Chachinka/Darb...y/N. Olson, still lots of snow. We cleaned the 6900 rd intersection, and kms 18 thru 24 on the Darby. Pretty good job sledders.. getting better every year... I look forward to the year we dont need to do this. Please note that all BC parks are now closed and that now includes two of our riding areas. Evanoff provincial park (the Sandy) and Kakwa provincial park. Thank you!
We have received notice from Recreation Sites & Trails BC (whom we have an agreement with for all of our cabins and trails) that they are closing all RSTBC facilities where there is a chance of close contact between people due to COVID 19 concerns to encourage social distancing practices. That means ALL cabins are to be avoided (Torpy, Kakwa & Clubhouse area). Here is more info from RSTBC: Recreation Sites and Trails BC’s (RSTBC) number one priority is the health and safet...y of British Columbians and visitors using recreation sites and trails across the province. RSTBC is following the advice of the Provincial Health Officer and is taking steps to support the Province of British Columbia in its effort to limit the spread of COVID-19. Effective immediately, recreation facilities where there is a risk of increased social contact, contact with frequently touched surfaces, and/or where monies are exchanged will be closed. Such measures are in line with direction from the provincial health officer and are for the safety of our partners, volunteers, staff and visitors. Closures will apply to overnight shelters, backcountry cabins, day use shelters, fee collection booths and some infrastructure typically used by snowmobile, nordic ski, mountain bike and hiking groups. Additional facility closures may be considered by RSTBC in the future. Where access to overnight shelters or day use facilities is required due to an immediate safety concern (i.e., accident or injury requiring immediate and local assistance) access to those facilities will not be prohibited. Trails will remain open and may not be groomed or maintained during this time. Users assume all risks by continuing to use trails and are discouraged from taking unnecessary risks to avoid burdening health services. RSTBC acknowledges that these measures may result in operational and financial uncertainty for our agreement holders and other operators. RSTBC will continue to monitor the situation and communicate regularly. District recreation staff will be in contact in the near term with additional information. For service updates and information on facilities and recreation spaces that are closed please continue to visit the RSTBC website and Facebook page. See more
