Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) Hey Everyone! Just wanted to let you all know that we still have a variety of hand sanitizers, face shields, and thermometers (including infrared thermometers!) left. They are conveniently displayed at the front part of the store between the snacks and the register. Stop in and let our wonderful customer service representatives help you out! Just an FYI, we are trying to get our hands on some more masks to meet the demand during this stran...ge time. As of yesterday (Thursday) afternoon only had 3 child reusable masks left, and no adult masks. To all those who have not yet heard, The Northwestern Health Unit has announced a mandatory mask use policy for anyone who is out in an enclosed public space. This new policy will be effective starting on Monday, August 17.

Dear valued Patients and Customers, It is with heavy hearts that we had to say goodbye to our dear friend and co-worker Sue Korosec on June 21 2020. Those of you who have had the pleasure of dealing with Sue in Sunset Medical know that Sue had a big personality and an even bigger heart. She made a point of saying hello to everyone she crossed paths with and engaged in meaningful conversation with everyone she knew/got to know through working in Sunset Medical. She also went a...bove and beyond for customers including, but not limited to, coming in on her days off to assist customers with stockings. Her customer service skills and caring nature were second to none. Sue was very self-aware, and had a no nonsense, unfiltered attitude and way of life. This brought us a lot of laughter, smiles and inspiration. Mondays surely will never be the same without her infectious laugh, and morning routine of saying "Good Morning" to every staff member working that day. It is without question that Sues mere presence made all of our work lives brighter, and she will be dearly missed. Our thoughts go out to Leo, or as Sue would put it "Mr. Man" and their beloved family during this most difficult time. Rest easy, dear friend

Dear loyal customers/patients, Due to the rise of the COVID-19 virus, we are taking some precautions to do our part to protect our community: - screening customers as they come in;... - having our customers sanitize once they enter the store; - limiting the number of customers in the store at one time; - encouraging patients who live within town limits to have their prescriptions delivered; - strongly encouraging patients to call in their medications ahead of time; - encouraging patients to have their doctors fax new/renewed prescriptions to us directly instead of physically bringing them in. On the topic of medications, we would like to inform our patients that McKesson (our distributer in Winnipeg) is limiting our order quantities to 1 or 2 bottles/puffers/nasal sprays/boxes of insulin/etc. per day. We did not foresee this virus or the extent of the complications it would cause, but we have been doing our very best to maintain a healthy inventory in order to keep up with our customers’ needs. We also want to note that we are also adhering to the Canadian Pharmacists Association’s 30-day policy in which we are only supplying our customers with a 30-day supply of their medication at a time (with rare exceptions at the discretion of the pharmacist). We appreciate your business and loyalty, and we thank you all in advance for your patience and understanding during this difficult time. We look forward to the day when this Coronavirus is part of the past. Stay safe out there, friends.
