We've been receiving many questions from our community about adult vaccines for protection against pneumonia and shingles - which is great! Current recommendations* state that one should wait for a period of at least 14 days after the administration of another vaccine (such as for pneumonia or shingles) before receiving a CO...VID-19 vaccine. So until such a time that COVID-19 vaccines are more widely available, it may make sense to schedule your pneumococcal or shingles vaccine now, so as to avoid interfering with the timing of your COVID-19 vaccine when it does become available to you. If you're considering receiving the pneumococcal or shingles vaccine, or are unsure, contact our pharmacy team to discuss.
