Last week in this series, we met Ruth, the Moabite woman who found her happy ending with Boaz. Because she plays the starring role, we get her story in detail and sometimes overlook the supporting character, Naomi. She is Ruth’s mother-in-law, and without her I’m not sure how Ruth and Boaz’s story would have played out. Life is not always a smooth sail, we will hit walls and waves but it is all a part of God’s great plan for each one of us that He loves. We are all sinners and we cannot do good with our own ability. Our only hope of receiving glory, honour, and peace is by having faith in God. He will reward us and give us eternal life if we trust in Him and live a life full of unselfish good works. During this pandemic, what can we do to help our community, our friends, and our loved ones? Good work isn't measured by the size but by your heart and your intention. It can be something as small as sending a message to some you haven't cared for in a while or donating a small amount to help food banks and people in need. By ourselves, we may not be able to make a big difference but together, we can achieve something big, something amazing, and something impactful.
