As Don and I talked together this past week, we came to the conclusion that ‘Post Covid’ conversations can no longer be, How are you but, How do you feel? with friends, colleagues and family members. Treats, as I mentioned in my last post, show others that you care, they break down barriers and they open doors. But the trick, now, with an unprecedented pandemic upon us, is getting people to talk about themselves, about their genuine struggles, what’s really going on beneath the standard surface answers of I’m fine, how are you? My response: "I feel the exact same way!" I was inwardly thrilled that my friend shared my tender sentiments about home life, yet her comment still jolted my core and stuck with me the rest of my day, so much so that I cannot seem to sleep until I have typed out my thoughts in this blog. Photo by Steshka Willems on Pexels.com I dedicate this post to every woman who has ever experienced doubt. Do you ever wonder why life throws you curve balls right in the middle of the happy life you try so hard to create for yourself? Me too. Even though I'm a devout Christian with a firm faith in a loving God, I get thrown off balance sometimes when the trials of life hit hard.
