Hello everyone, It’s the backyard BBQ, family around the picnic table and the last great hurrah of Summer. In honor of Labour day we will be closed for the long weekend. Hello everybody, just a general information post here. YES WE ARE STILL OPEN. We have instituted higher standards of cleaning, and sanitizing to protect the general public; as well as our family of employees. At this time we would like to reiterate, if you have symptoms of COVID-19, or any flu like symptoms please REFRAIN from coming to our yard at this time. Otherwise, we are here operating with our usual Mon-Fri hours. Which can be found on our page. If you have metal, but would prefer to not come into contact with anyone we have a safe dropoff bin just outside of our main gate. Thank you everybody and stay safe!!

Have you heard of the #CHAchallenge? This year it's called Beyond the Blue Bin; our members are encouraged to take items in for recycling that can't be accepted... in the city's blue bins. This includes markers, pens, ink cartridges, metal, electronics, appliances, glass, and batteries. We will be making a draw for 5 $10 gift cards to Mastermind Toys, using the money we raise by recycling scrap metal at PHF Steel and Recycling. Want to help us encourage the girls? Take your scrap metal (and mixed materials containing metal) to PHF from M-F 8 am - 4:30 pm and ask them to put it on the Girl Guide account. Want to help even more? If someone in the city is willing to host a scrap bin, we could direct our donors there.
