I was at City Hall for a meeting today and saw this . I know that being an elected leader means having some pretty heavy responsibilities, but I had no idea that the mayor got to make decisions this big!

Merry Christmas Mission!

Here’s a bit of trivia. I went to one of the last one room schoolhouses in BC. (I was also one of the last to get the strap, but that’s another story.) This is... Silverhill School, just a couple of kilometres away from where I now live. When I saw the construction crews, I was worried that they were moving or demolishing the old place. I’m thrilled that they are merely lifting it up. I’m so grateful to those who find a blend between progress and heritage!
