Why most people end up Failing at REAL ESTATE INVESTING Being an active investor for many years, I have dealt with and tried to help, a lot of new investors. I have run into one reason consistently that seems to stop people from being successful at real estate investing is they are looking. For the easy way out. Investing in anything including Real. Estate may be simple, but it requires. Work and dedication to succeed. I have seen many new investors take some Gurus course.... Promising them an easy way to become rich in real estate, and while the teaching may help them jump some levels of knowledge. It does not let you skip the levels of work. You can’t decide to become rich flipping homes and go out and buy a fixer-upper and turn around and try to sell it for retail. If you don’t do the repairs needed first. Well, I guess you can try, but it won’t work. You need to perform the renovations on the property first before you can profit. I have seen many people lose their life savings because they were looking for the easy way to. Succeed. I have also seen people who work hard lose their money. The difference tends to be hard-working people who are willing to put in the work to succeed can bounce back and learn from the failures, while the easy way out people rarely do. (They are like the elusive unicorn)! Real estate investing can be very simple, but do not mistake the simplicity for easiness, you still have to do the work to succeed If you are not willing to do the work, then maybe you should look at investing with people who do the work!

3 ways to make your renovations go easier So you bought a house or a flip project and you are getting ready to start renovations. There are several common mistakes that people can make that not only add to the cost of the projects, but also create issues with the people performing the tasks.... Your top concerns should be making money and having the fewest number of headaches, but I am always surprised at how people cause themselves issues by thinking they are experts at all the things going on in a project. 1. You always look for the cheapest price! What you should be looking for is the greatest value. Your time is valuable and if you have to be onsite every day to make sure things are getting done it is costing you money. You could be using your time to source new deals. Hire the contractors that you do not need to babysit! 2. You stop by the site to talk to the tradespeople. If you have a GC (general contractor) I can guarantee you that they are getting complaints from the trades if you do this. You may think you are being nice and developing a relationship, but from their point of view, you are costing them money because they are not working. This is one of the fastest ways to lose great tradespeople. If you want to develop a relationship then host a bbq or get together outside of their working hours where they can decide if they want to come. Most trades will be nice to your face because they want to be paid, but they will not appreciate you interfering with their work and costing them money. 3. Pay your people on time. If you hire quality tradespeople and don’t pay them on time, you may never get them back! Good trades have no shortage of work, so they will not come back most times, even if. You say you will pay more. I am not saying that you need to overpay them, but you need to honor the contract. They don’t care what your financial issues are, and they are not your bank, so asking them to finance your project WILL cost you, reliable people These are some of the things that I have experienced over the years. I would love to hear your thoughts on these and what you would add.
