Sharing plants with kids feels like to fulfillment of my work as an herbalist. Watching them talk to the plants, gather them, draw them and knowing that they know so many plants that can support them and their families health is heartening in these crazy times. I am thankful for these kid's open minds and hearts, and to the land, the ancestors of the land whom steward the land, to my teachers to continue to teach through me and to the plants for sharing them selves!

I will finally be at the Saturday market tomorrow with a fresh batch of Heal All salve and Pain Salve, along with a selection of other herbal tinctures. See you there!

Harvesting skunk cabbage is one of my favorite, yet most involved plants to dig. It took me 2 tries, one broken garden fork, with mud up to my arm pits to harvest this giant. Looks the the brain of the generous earth! Great medicine for spasmodic, wet coughs, period cramps, back pain and more...thank you skunk cabbage!
