International Helmet Awareness is happening this weekend! Riding helmets are designed to protect your head and your neck in a fall. Modern helmets have been tested specifically for our sport, and are the best way to keep us safe. You should upgrade your helmet every few years, and after any major fall. This weekend, many retailers are offering discounts on all riding helmets! Time to go shopping!

Everyone deserves a pat for a job well done... just like Annie Poisson, our 1.10 Meter superstar is giving to Phoenix's Fury here. We'd like to take a minute and give a pat to all our supporters for helping us move in! Well done!

The horse and the man who got us all here. Stall plates really make us feel like we’re HERE!

Our beautiful new facility is waiting for us to move in! Big stalls with convertible doors, rubber matted aisles, the viewing area over our lovely indoor arena (stay tuned for exiting updates on that!), hot and cold water wash stall, feed room, heated tack room, and the glorious 25 acres of grass turnout!

Our newest little rider and her brand new pony getting ready to step out in style at Phoenix EC. Thank you Greenhawk Equestrian Sport for setting her up for success!

Straw waiting to go into the new storage container! Why does Phoenix EC bed on straw? Becausse: - Studies show that horses prefer to lie down on straw bedding, getting better rest, and avoiding hawk sores... - As a pass-through bedding, urine is pulled away from the horse’s feet, reducing thrush and other hoof ailments - For our indoor boarders, and those spending more time in stalls, straw is a more entertaining bedding, as horses nuzzle through it, mimicking grazing action and keeping them stimulated - We can make nice, deep beds, that protect joints - It much less dusty than available shavings, reducing respiratory issues in our horses - and ourselves! - If horses ever run out of hay (unlikely here, but some are voracious eaters!), horses can nibble on straw, which has been shown to reduce ulcers - Straw is better for composting, and straw stall cast offs are a favourite for mushroom farmers. Straw bedding is the educated choice we’ve made, and our horses love it. Come and see for yourself!
