BC has recently experienced a surge of COVID-19 cases directly related to large social gatherings at private homes, especially for celebrations like weddings, b...irthdays or baby showers. Dr. Bonnie Henry has issued a new order that limits the number of people allowed to gather in private homes to your household plus a maximum of six guests (your safe six). This fall, follow these guidelines to help keep yourself, your family, and your community safe: Keep gatherings in private homes and backyards limited to your own household members plus a maximum of six people If your household is large, or includes elders or people with underlying health problems, even six people may be too many When inviting your guests be sure that anyone feeling sick stays home Make sure you have a place for guests to wash their hands when they arrive Avoid physical contact (kissing, hugging) with your guests Visit in large, well ventilated rooms Have a small gathering for now, and plan for a larger gathering when the pandemic is over In areas with higher transmission, like the Fraser Valley, we should say no to visits for now. Instead, if you are wanting to spend time with your "safe six", choose a local restaurant to catch up, knowing that there are comprehensive COVID-19 safety precautions in place. Do you need a covid test? If you have cold symptoms or think you might need a covid test, our office can order that for you! Call for an appointment. Lots of same days available for this need. The doctor will order you a test if appropriate. All testing will be carried out at the UPCC.

Our office is trying to cut down foot traffic - please do not stop by the office unless you have an appointment or have spoken to the front desk on the phone. We understand phone lines are busy. We are doing our best!

I'd like to put a thank-you to all the Medical Office Assistance workers, all the receptionists and all the others working in the medical field that aren't doct...ors or nurses, these are the people in walk-in clinics, private clinics and your family doctors You are not being overlooked by many of us, we thank-you for still going to work and answering calls and making appointments so we can be treated if needed, you are the first front line that people don't even notice, you see the infected before they even know they have it, you deal with the panicked and scared, you have to deal with everyone not just the sick that are showing symptoms. In this time of crisis with decisions that need to be made, YOU are the ones deciding if it is essential if someone needs to see the doctor or not. You are hero's as well and are not getting praised enough for still having to go to work and putting your family at risk so we can be safe. I THANK-YOU from the bottom of my <3 See more
