Typically for May 17th, local queer organizations and groups have collaborated and gathered to observe International Day Against Homophobia, Transphobia, & Biph...obia. Despite being apart this year, together we reflect on the fight against hatred and oppression that many in the queer community still face. Pride and other 2SLGBTQ+ community organizations only exist because queer people demanded space and acceptance. That work is still being done every day by members of our community, whether we are together or apart.
