Wild Things Photography by Florbela Day 2 of the Art Chain Challenge I was invited to by Sarah Chi Brown :: This photo is one from my early days of my photography when I started doing creative portraits. Although it's an older photo, it is still one of my all time favourites! I love the intensity of her stare, the metallic sparkle of her mask, including her wild wind blown hair. Originally it was coloured processed in a strong yellow gold, along with a dark edgy black+whi...te. But I thought I would revamped the colour processing of it to suite my likings today. I find that style of photography is not only about capturing the image, it's in styling, the concept, and in my creative post processing. Nothing gets better for me in my artwork, when all these things come together. Dreams Do Come True Photography by Florbela Day 1 of the Art Chain Challenge I was invited to by Sarah Chi Brown :: I been wanting to post this image for awhile, it's been on my "photos to post list" for sometime. So I thought it would be a good one to share, since it's rare for me to photography peoples weddings, unless of course if I'm a guest, then it's hard not to bring my camera. Why, don't I want to shoot on the "wedding day"? Because I prefer not being rushed in m...y photography with the madness and stress that a wedding day can bring. Instead my personal style for wedding images is either candid photo journalist approach (like this one). Where I can look for the beauty within a person when usually the are not looking. Or shooting creative wedding photo shoots, after the wedding day. Where I am in total control of creating and bringing out the beauty I see within an individual, through story telling and creative post editing. This wedding portrait the newly Mrs. Lucy Woodman, is a perfect image to illustrate how I can capture her stunning natural beauty in a candid photo. During a milestone moment in her life - this is when she just married her love Dustin Woodman and walked out of the ceremony and was greeting all of her guest outside as they congratulated the couple. She was just gleaming with joy, beauty and love, I'm glad I caught her in that moment of time and now can share it back with her and her man. Love creating memories that are captured in time - such a gift to give to others.
