Photo of the Day. This little guy is a Grey Backed Shrike from northern India near the Himalayan border. He likes to sit up high like this and look for moving prey like insects on the ground. Like most shrikes, he often impales his prey on thorns and saves them for later consumption - yummy! Photo of the Day. Since the start of the pandemic, I haven't traveled anywhere for my photography but sometimes the subjects just show up. This coyote is one of three that showed up in my back yard on New Year's Eve. Two of them, including this one, looked like they had been in a fight.
