If a friend of yours was assaulted, would you say What matters is that you survived? Why is it different when it comes to mothers going through traumatic births? Why do we quickly shovel their experience and feelings under the carpet, because baby is healthy so therefore everything should be fine? Birth trauma is a real thing, and it occurs more than you think. It occurs to moms who had vaginal deliveries or cesarean births. It occurs to moms who presented the classic bir...th scenario, and those who didn’t. The truth is: it can happen to any mom whom, at some point during their birth, did not feel supported or safe. Regardless of what your birth story is, if you still hold negative feelings or emotions about your birth, know that these feelings are valid. You would not believe the number of women I see in my practice - even 20 years post partum - who start crying when I ask how they feel about their birth story. Women who never told anyone about these feelings. They buried them so deep in their mommy’s heart, moving on with family life and raising their kids. If you are a mommy who went through a traumatic birth, first I’m giving you a big hug I’m also encouraging you to seek the help of a counsellor to work through those feelings and find some peace, because it is never too late. And most of all, because YOU matter. #birthtrauma #birthtraumaawareness #mommy #momhealth #mentalhealthmatters #healthymoms

TTC x one year. Used OPKs monthly and BBT tracking most months, timed BD, 10 000 vitamins, diet changes and so on. After several long anxious 2ww’s, too many HPTs $ and disheartening AF’s, here we are still getting BFNs. If one more person tells me a story of a friend of a friend who got a BFP after letting go, I’m going to lose my mind. And if you know what this all means, I’m sure you won’t be that person. #ttc

The Forward-leaning Inversion is meant to create room in the lower uterus during pregnancy by using gravity. The goal is to stretch the ligaments of the uterus and cervix to remove tensions and restrictions around your baby and ease labour and birth. It is also a great stretch if you experience any round ligament pain (around the belly button) or pain on the sides of your belly bump. Lastly, it can be used during your contractions in labour if your cervix is not dilating prop...erly. WHEN TO DO IT? - As a proactive way to prepare your body for labour in your third trimester in order to make room for baby even if baby’s head is already down - Can be done during a full contraction during labor if your cervix is not dilating ask clearance from health care provider before performing this pose in labor - If you have round ligament pain or pain on the sides of your belly bump - If you feel pelvic heaviness at the end of your day - If you have swelling in your lower body and want to improve circulation For more instructions, check out my blog post :) https://physioborealis.com//forward-leaning-inversion-pos/
