SHOULDER STABILITY FOR EVERYONE . This is such a GREAT exercise for working the scapular stabilizers (like serratus anterior & rotator cuffs) through range of motion. I can’t stress the importance of this one enough! It’s an exercise that EVERYONE should be doing to train the muscles around the shoulder to move appropriately. . Make sure you’re actively pushing your hands into the floor throughout the entire exercise (or think of pushing your body away from the floor)... . Incorporate into your usual routine if you exercise regularly. If you’re doing specific shoulder rehab, ask your therapist when it would be appropriate to add this for your specific condition. Should be completely pain-free. . Tag a friend who will do these with you today! See more

I received my honours degree in Kinesiology from Brock University in 2018. Throughout my 4 years at Brock I spent most of my free time working and volunteering to gain practical experience working with and treating a wide range of populations such as varsity athletes, children with special needs, adults with spinal cord injuries and MS to name a few. After working in a clinic setting for a few years I branched out to working with individuals in their home environment to offe...r quality one on one care. I discovered a passion for the human bodies ability to heal, and for helping others recover from injury after having the opportunity to see what proper treatment, care and exercise was able to do for my father who sustained a spinal cord injury in 2010. I was able to watch my father work with physiotherapists and occupational therapists to assist in maintaining his quality of life while learning to cope with becoming paraplegic. I made it my goal to graduate from a program that would allow me to learn about the science of the human body and its adaptability that would in turn provided me the opportunity to apply my knowledge to care and help others.

Let's talk about the challenge of exercise. Exercise is work. It elevates your heart rate, will make you sweat...Yes, exercise does get easier with time, but it will never be "easy."
