Happy World Occupational Therapy Day! What is Occupational Therapy? Occupations are the things we do everyday that we want to do, need to do or are expected to do. Occupational Therapy aims to assist individuals in overcoming barriers that affect their ability to do everyday tasks. OTs work with anyone who’s physical health, mental health, disability, ageing, neurodiversity, etc. is getting in the way of their occupations. OTs teach people to live again, to feel like themselves again, to be proud and confident again. They work with individuals to reimagine doing. On August 26, 2020 we will be hosting an information session for parents at our clinic. This will provide parents with the opportunity to become informed about the paediatric services offered at Aspire. This event will be lead by our paediatric Physiotherapist and Occupational Therapists. Parents will also have the opportunity to ask questions and tour our space.
