UPDATE SEPT 26: It seems that Chance has found a home! There is still a small possibility that it won't work out and if that happens I will contact those of you... who have expressed interest in adopting him. Both myself and his foster family are grateful for all the interest. Thanks! PS Here and below in the comments is a link to the Go Fund Me to support the cost of Chance's surgery which is likely to be about $14K. https://www.gofundme.com/f/kxmvq-hope-for-chance Update: Chance had a trial visit with a family over the weekend, and I’m still waiting to hear whether they will go forward. If you’re interested continue to let me know by sending me a direct message as I’m keeping a list and I will keep all interested families informed (there are a few). If it doesn’t work out with this current family I will put people in touch with the foster family directly. It’s heartwarming to know there are people out there who will give him a great home! Dog loving friends; This is Chance. He is a 1 year old golden doodle looking for a home. (he’s in Vancouver) He is a lovely boy, well behaved and house trained. And he has a condition that requires surgery to resolve. His owners wanted to euthanize him and the vet didn't want to, so he was surrendered to the vet and is in foster care with a great family. He can live a pretty normal life without the surgery (he would have a restricted diet and needs to go potty more frequently than normal though he does sleep through the night). But the surgery would resolve all that. Kai has met him and played with him and they were a great match with their temperaments. The surgery is expensive but there are options for raising the money. The pics below show what he looked like before he was surrendered (in May) and now. He's a GREAT dog. Please share and let me know if anyone is interested in knowing more, I will connect you with his foster family. Chance deserves a chance. PS he is about 60lbs and full grown. Annette O'Shea Judi Dunlop Louise Battley Samara Ridley-Thomas Julie Foxcroft edit/update: Chance has an intrahepatic shunt and the recommendation is to perform a procedure to close the shunt (coli embolization of the central divisional portosystemic shunt)

Ever since we had a baby I stopped hiking, and are now a foster parent for cats and dogs in need This is Luna, she’s 8 months old and came all the way from Manitoba. Today she got spayed, vaccinated, dewormed and also got treated for ear mites. She’s so groggy and not feeling so great, but it helps with snuggles from Sunny

Wow, this is heart breaking to read and see.. This is why we shouldn’t support Puppy mills and not even breeders because the rescue dogs need us more than ever. Please consider adopting. You will save a life Hope this poor boy gets a loving home where he’ll experience nothing put love and happiness

***ADOPTED *** Hi I’m Chance! I’m around 7 months old and my foster family says I’m the sweetest thing you will ever meet. Im calm, affectionate, and submissi...ve. I know basic commands like sit, stay, & down. They tell me I’m good leash but still need to learn some recall. I really like people but I can be reactive with other dogs. If you are interested in meeting please send an application to [email protected] See more

She is being fostered with kids and does great because they love giving her snuggles ! She will need an active home as she loves to go out for walks and to play in the yard To adopt Ruby, please email us at [email protected]

Look at my favourite boys out on their first walk with Kari today Makes me VERY happy to see them still out on adventures even tho I’m no longer able to take them. Thank you Kari for taking the boys out on adventures while I’m gone and for giving them such a fun time on a rainy Thursday morning
