We've already completed two weeks of the 2020-2021 studio year! So excited to be making music in studio with my students!

Feels good to have finished and passed both the written and viva voce exams for Elementary Piano Pedagogy! Thanks to Megan Newcombe for all your teaching and mentoring. Over the past year, I've learned many valuable lessons about teaching. My younger brother says I can now "pet-a-dog" (hmmm...pedagogue=pet-a-dog?) :) Intermediate and Advanced Pedagogy here we come!

"Don't practice until you get it right. Practice until you can't get it wrong." That's a goal that I haven't yet attained in this favorite, but take this as motivation to keep practicing! Cheers to parents, students, and teachers who made the adjustment to online lessons! Online learning is possible, but that doesn't make it easy! From making videos and sharing screens to seeing mirror-image keyboards and dealing with internet lags, we have to adjust from in-studio lessons. But hopefully our students are becoming more independent and are still enjoying lessons. The three-way triangle is so true! Thanks to parents who support their children!
