A piano that I’ve tuned for years had its first tuning in its new home

Millions of pianos were made in Canada by the many manufacturers that dotted the country. There are no more Canadian piano manufacturers operating but this piano is among the last made here. Heintzman was a widely known and respected brand and they were among the last to close theirs doors in 1985. Most of the years of operation took place in Toronto but towards the end, it was bought by Sklar-Peppler furniture company and some pianos were made in Hanover

I don’t know why I didn’t organize piano parts like this sooner... now I need to figure out a system for the stacks and stacks of bigger piano parts in the basement

I hadn’t played this one for years until this February when it was requested 4 times for funerals. This style is a bit more rambunctious than what I used at the funerals.

Time to unplug and just play
