Remembrance Day is a day of reflection, ceremony and tradition where Canadians come together to honour past sacrifices and acknowledge the courage the men and w...omen who have served and those currently serving in the Canadian Armed Forces and the RCMP. Due to the rise in COVID-19 cases in British Columbia we are encouraging the public to pay tribute from their own homes. No matter how you choose to observe this special day we ask that you take a moment of silence on November 11, on the 11th hour, to remember those who have given their lives for the Canada we enjoy today. Ways to Remember: Wear a poppy. At 11:00am, stand outside on your porch or front door alongside neighbours, for a moment of silence. Memorize the Act of Remembrance. Place your poppy at your local cenotaph throughout the day while wearing a mask maintaining two-meters social distance. The Act of Remembrance They shall grow not old, as we that are left grow old; Age shall not weary them, nor the years condemn. At the going down of the sun and in the morning We will remember them. We will remember them. Watch the Virtual Wall of Honour and Remembrance: http://ow.ly/uIRX50Ch25J
