Dear Member, Supporter, Stakeholder, Yesterdays announcement from Premier Ford got us all excited about an imminent return to the pitch. We hope your household feels the same way. In the context of where we are as a Club and how we see the next few weeks and months playing out we are taking into account the following factors:... That Ontario meets the vaccination targets in order for us to reach the June 14th projected start date for Stage 1 and a return to outdoor practice The direction from Ontario Soccer who may or may not adjust the Return to Play protocols that we implemented during our RTP last July 2nd Any additional constraints that the Regional Public health Unit may place on us and our community. Any additional constrains that the District Soccer Association may place on us. As we know more, we will communicate specifically to each program so keep an eye out for emails and social media in the coming days. As we explained last week, the pandemic has provided Club Board, Staff and Coaches with a good chance to reflect on the work we do. Our strategic planning process for 2022-2026 has started with that reflection and will now engage YOU, as Club Members, Supports and Stakeholders so look out for specific online surveys in the next few weeks that will be sent to you. We want to hear your thoughts on the current direction and future plans for the Club. This is your club after all and we want you to be #PFCProud. As a reminder the Canada Soccer Member Survey is currently out and you are encouraged to let our national association know how you feel. It may also give you some ideas for the direction we as a Club want to head. Stay safe and we'll see you soon.

We will be interviewing Canadian Amateur Sport Athletes about their life & sport experiences. The problem we are facing is that we cannot come up with a name. So, we decided to launch a contest! We have been fortunate that we have been able to stay connected with our PFC's All Abilities Community with regular PFC updates and Virtual Programs over the last 8 month. We are now extending our Virtual Program beyond our club and are offering our program to athletes with physical and cognitive disabilities as far away as Windsor, Ontario. Since September, we have also been offering our indoor programs while navigating numerous safety protocols through this pandemic. Durin...g Covid-19, we have been forced to meet a number of challenges while still offering quality programming to our athletes. Through innovation, and the strength and knowledge of our coaches, we have developed new ways of offering our programs, which will have lasting effects. Like all sport programs, our All Abilities Program has been hit hard financially during this pandemic. In an effort of offset some of our costs, and to continue to keep registration fees low, we are coordinating a Holiday Fundraising Campaign. I am asking for your assistance in spreading the word, and to help us raise funds. Fundraiser #1 With assistance from Vandermeer’s Nursery, we will be participating in their Gift Card Fundraising, selling $30.00 Vandermeer’s Gift Cards. The PFC All Abilities Program will receive $5.00 from each card sold. Whether you are shopping for this Holiday Season, or are planning your outdoor spaces for next summer, this is a great opportunity for you to support our program. The great thing about gift cards is that they never expire so you can spend now, and buy later! All orders must be received by December 5, 2020. Cards will be available for pick up at the Pickering Football Club on December 12th. Order form is attached. Fundraiser #2 In an effort to provide future accessible programming, we have established the All Abilities Development Fund. In partnership with Sport4Ontario and the National Sport Trust Fund, we are able to issue tax receipts for all donations.
